Freedom & Love

"Freedom only exists when love is present. The person who gives him or herself wholly, the person who feels freest, is the person who loves most wholeheartedly. And the person who loves wholeheartedly feels free."

Wow. That's deep. I agree with that.

Loving whole heartedly is not freedom.

... giving yourself to someone 'wholeheartedly' may have a freeing effect; To truly be 'free' would require love so complete that one would let a person go if it was for the betterment of that individual. This does not necessarily have a 'freeing' association. Commonplace 'love' can in fact be quite imprisoning.

This freedom no longer exists because nobody loves like this anymore! This "freedom" leads to a committment that eventually restricts other freedoms! There lies the paradox that is love!
